It is that time of year…… the trees are losing their leaves, it’s getting darker earlier and Christmas is looming just around the corner. Don’t hide from this time of year – include it! That’s what Jess and Nathan did at their woodland themed wedding!
From pine cones around the wedding cake, woodland creatures on tables and the Christmas tree in the corner, Greetham Valley golf club was the perfect venue for our bride and grooms vision to come to life. We met our bride early in the morning in one of Greetham Valley’s log cabins. Rustic and charming, these cabins are awesome to get ready in. With space to sleep eight and a large lounge and kitchen area, there is lots of space for bridesmaids to get ready also. Perfect for you all to be together too!
After photographs of details and getting ready, we headed to find the boys – also able to get ready on site in the man hotel. The boys were on their way to the bar area along with a few family members when we bumped into them. After photos in the bar, the boys braved the cold for wedding photographs for a few minutes before guests started to arrive in the warm bar area for a quick drink before it was into the ceremony room to await our Bride.
After a fantastic ceremony including a shared reading, it was out onto the terrace for the guests, and off onto a golf buggy for our bride and groom! To the lakes we headed, for romantic wedding photographs before we hurried Jess and Nathan back to their guests for group wedding photographs on the terrace. The lakes at Greetham Valley are beautiful! Even in the winter, Greetham offers the perfect back drop for wedding photography.
After a receiving line, the wedding breakfast was served on the large Rutland suite at Greetham. With views over the golf course (until it went dark!) this room is great for any size of wedding party. Speeches followed before it was time for us to steal our bride and groom away for a couple of minutes to play with sparklers! Superb for this time of year!Great wedding photographs can be captured too, which is always a bonus!
Jess’ uncle donned his DJ cap and proudly played the first dance and second dance for Jess and her Father. The wedding evening party was in full swing and the bar was bustling when it came time for us to say our goodbyes.
