Wedding Photography in Rutland

What can be better than a sunny day for a marquee wedding? Add the perfect views like Sophie and Glen had and it’s unbeatable! Perfect for Wedding Photography in Rutland!

A marquee is the best way to invite loads of guests to your home, perfect if you have an AWESOME family home and great views of Rutland water, like Sophie’s family do. For Sophie and Glen, getting married in the local church of Hambleton, then a short drive to their marquee was just the ticket.

Wedding Photography in Rutland is always a pleasure for us, being based in Oakham ourselves; we LOVE to explore the local area finding somewhere different every time. We had never been to this site before, which isn’t uncommon for a Marquee wedding as their location changes weekly! With this in mind, we met with our Bride and Groom beforehand at their location in Hambleton. Believe us when we say that we were speechless when we saw the farm and views, I’ve never heard Laura silent for so long :-)

This wedding was slightly different too, we LOVE different! Not only were they married in Hambleton, but their daughter Grace was christened at the same time! Perfect.

After the short trip (by tractor and trailer for the guests!) back to the farm, the reception was in full swing by the time the bride and groom arrived. We had stayed back at the church with the couple for a few shots. The first as Mr and Mrs!

Wedding Photography in Rutland continued back at the farm on their return, with a large group shot to start the proceedings! Drinks followed and as the guests mingled in the courtyard, we finished our group photographs quickly, so Sophie and Glen could catch a glass or two with their guests!

It was soon time for everyone to take their seats ready for starters and speeches. After four heartfelt speeches (with the groom’s son stealing the show!) a buffet style dinner followed. We even grabbed a few minutes before the sun set between courses with our couple.

As the evening guests arrived, the macaroon wedding cake was cut before dancing commenced to the sound of a cousin’s band. The perfect family end to the perfect family day!
