Wedding Photography in Loughborough
Loughborough is the largest town within Leicestershire and full of great venues that excite any good wedding photographer. Nestled in the Charnwood borough, Loughborough has been a market town for over 750 years, with the first recorded market held in 1221.
Every August the market turns into a seaside with a beach for all to enjoy! Amazing! In November the annual street fair takes over the market square in an explosion of sound and light and in the run up to Christmas it offers a range of entertainment and fantastic Christmas lights.
Once famous for its strong links to the Great Central Railway (Locomotives and Trams are still restored here!) Loughborough still boasts great transport links. Just a stone’s throw from the M1 motorway and still with fantastic train connections, Loughborough is easy to get to no matter where you (or your guests!) live.
Art Deco buildings are scattered throughout the town. One even holds Loughborough Cinema. We LOVE art deco too! The fantastic shapes and curves of the buildings are worth a visit to Loughborough on their own! The densest of Art Deco and Victorian style buildings are to be found in the Church gate conservation area surrounding the Parish Church.
With four museums, Loughborough is the place for Art and Culture. Queens Park, which is home to a small museum of the first and second world wars, is also a tranquil place to waste an hour or two.
Loughborough University is one of the top ten universities in the UK and has the largest sports scholarship in the country. More than 250 athletes study and train there. Loughborough was chosen for team GB’s Olympic preparations and headquarters for the months leading up to the 2012 Olympic Games held in London.
Loughborough could be the perfect place to hold your wedding, it has so much to offer and it has some great wedding venues too!
