A Wedding at Barnsdale Hall on a hot summer’s day is perfect – and that is exactly what Mel and David had planned for!
What a lovely couple! We met these guys for an engagement session a few years before their wedding day! How time flies! Even way back then, we could see the excitement starting to build. Engagement shoots are a FAB idea. Great to help you to relax in front of the camera and for us all to spend a little more time together. See some more Engagement shoots here.
It wasn’t long before their Wedding at Barnsdale Hall was upon us in the height of the summer, (probably the hottest day of the year so far) and we were off to meet Mel and her bridesmaids in the Windsor suite. An hour of real fun followed and the suite is large enough to accommodate even the largest wedding party enough room to get ready. With beautiful big windows and lots of soft natural light too, we like it here
Their Wedding at Barnsdale Hall continued when we met a rather excited and relatively calm groom and his groomsmen. His brother was best man so naturally, we were looking forward already to the best man’s speech! After a few wedding photos, the groom was securely inside the ceremony room at Barnsdale Hall and so we headed back to catch up with the Bridal party.
Holding both your ceremony and wedding breakfast in the same venue has its advantages too, you can often walk to your ceremony and your guests can not get lost from venue to venue either!
The ceremony followed a short walk to the Edith Weston Suite where the grooms Mum read a beautiful short poem to the happy couple and what can only be described as a small orchestra played afterwards during the signing of the register.
Into the sunshine for a few group photographs we all headed before it was time for their Wedding at Barnsdale Hall to continue with a three course wedding breakfast and speeches. The best man definitely lived up to our earlier expectations, even finding an old photo where the groom resembles E.T. The likeness was uncanny!
In the small gap that remained between the wedding breakfast and their first dance, we swept the couple away for some photos as the sun was on its way down.
To finish their Wedding at Barnsdale Hall, Mel and David hit the floor for the first time as Mr and Mrs with a very well-rehearsed and choreographed first dance. Big congratulations guys!
And lastly…. An Ice Cream van turned up! What an AMAZING idea! We even had time for a sneaky ‘99’ before we left the party. You may even be able to fine evidence of this on Facebook
