The William Cecil in Stamford, formally known as The Lady Ann’s, was transformed around 4 years ago now into the most beautiful boutique hotel just oozing character! We absolutely LOVE weddings at the William Cecil so when Sophie and Lee asked us to photograph their wedding we were delighted!
We met the bride and her bridesmaids in the bridal suite at The William Cecil whilst they were busy being pampered. The bridal suite is a combination of 2 rooms giving you plenty of room for all of your bridal party to get ready and with its own private garden it is pure luxury! Sophie was very excited and a little nervous all at the same time. We captured some photographs of them preparing for the day ahead along with the brides most AMAZING shoes….!
Sophie and Lee had planned to host their ceremony and reception all at The William Cecil; with this in mind we were able to pop in and out to see the bride and also the groom at different stages throughout the morning. We found Lee in the bar all suited and booted, he looked awesome and so did his best men! They fumbled to get the buttonholes in place and were ready to go! As guests started to arrive they made their way into the ceremony room to take their seats. The ceremony room looked awesome, with huge flower displays on the fireplace, a petal-lined aisle and candles it was very romantic!
Sophie looked incredible as she walked down the aisle- she definitely wowed everyone in the room and they continued through their beautiful wedding ceremony.
As husband and wife, they made their way out into the sunshine to greet their guest and be absolutely covered in confetti!
We LOVE keeping things relaxed, so after just a few select group photographs in the garden of The William Cecil, we were able to spend the rest of the time in the afternoon photographing their guests enjoying a drink and congratulating the new Mr and Mrs.
The marquee had been styled and dress by Sophie and her bridesmaids, it looked amazing and all ready for guests to be seated for their wedding breakfast. However, before it was BBQ time we listened and photographed some great speeches, they had everyone in tears- well-done guys! The BBQ as soon lit and The William Cecil cooked up a super meal (as tasted by us too!)
A late august wedding at The William Cecil give the most beautiful light in the afternoon, the sun was streaming through the arches, lavender and roses, we couldn’t resist popping out with the bride and groom for some more wedding photographs of just the two of them.
The suite was all dressed, the band were set up and the cakes on display all ready for their evening reception. Sophie and Lee took to the dancefloor for a great first dance, shortly followed by EVERYONE else! We knew that they were going to have an amazing party! We left them all dancing the night away to the fab band.
Congratulations guys- thank you for a super day!
