We LOVE taking Summer Wedding Photographs at Normanton Park Hotel Such a lovely spot right on the shores of Rutland Water – and with a sunset that reminds us of a holiday, what can be better?
Rebecca and Ben booked their wedding day what seems like ages ago! We had been looking forward to their day for such a long time and eventually it was upon us. With almost wall to wall sunshine (just with a drop or two of rain in the afternoon) the day was perfect. Rebecca was busily getting ready in the Honeymoon suite when we joined her in the morning for Summer Wedding Photographs at Normanton Park Hotel before we met her groom in the bar. A bit of fun followed in the form of some shots of Ben and his best man before it was time for the ceremony.
Rebecca and Ben chose to hold their ceremony at Normanton Park hotel also. What a wonderful idea. Holding everything under one room certainly cuts down on the travel for your guests. As Ben waited patiently at the top of the aisle, Rebecca made her way slowly to him, accompanied by her Brother.
Hand written vows followed before the first kiss and the signing of the register and as they headed back down the aisle, their guests clapped and took photographs.
Summer Wedding Photographs at Normanton Park Hotel continued firstly with lots of confetti and a heart shaped group shot of all the guests. From there we continued to photograph a small number of group shots as requested before photographing the spontaneous activities of guests over the afternoon as everyone relaxes and enjoys a drink or two.
Speeches before the meal seem to work perfectly for the nervous Father or best man. At least they don’t have to push their food around the plate too nervous to eat! Four speeches were presented to a hungry audience, ready and waiting to listen and laugh. After some heartfelt words and funny stories of the groom’s childhood, the dinner service commenced.
We always look to find time to continue with a few Summer Wedding Photographs at Normanton Park Hotel after the meal and this special day was no different. We headed to the Church close by to catch the sun setting over the glass like surface of Rutland Water.
Soon it was time for cake and the first dance – sung by a local band. Very special indeed.
As the sun set, the sparklers appeared, just in time for a bit of fun before the dancing continued long into the evening.
A FAB day!
