Sofi and Lee’s Rutland Water Wedding

October 12, 2016 |

These guys are a totally awesome couple and we had such a giggle with them through their wedding day.

We started our day photographing Sofi’s gorgeous dress at her parents’ home, just as we were leaving the bride arrived from the hairdressers- she looked awesome already- complete with her sandwich and can of red bull!

The boys were having a beer at Normanton Park, which is where we had arranged to meet them. It’s nice for the boys to meet in the morning for a drink or two- unlike the girls, they don’t have too much to do to get ready- so beer keeps them occupied :-)

Lee was very happy and ready to go! After the bride had arrived at Normanton Church in her dad’s amazing truck- the groomsmen and guests followed eagerly.

Their wonderful ceremony took place in the beautiful Normanton Church, on the edge of Rutland Water and afterwards we used the inside of this wonderful church for some group photographs with their family and friends. The rain had swept across the water, so as guests made their way back with umbrellas we did some photographs with the two of them inside the church. Sofi and Lee really wanted some photographs outside- and who could blame them! The views and scenery of the church on the water are unmissable- so we all donned umbrellas and made our way out for some gorgeous photographs.

As they arrived back at Normanton Park, they enjoyed drinks with guests before dinner and speeches. The rain had stopped and as the sun was setting we snuck out with the bride and groom for some photographs with just the two of them. The colours in the sky were amazing- such a perfect setting for wedding photographs!

They danced the night away to lots of tunes- and an awesome confetti canon set off by the Dj!

Congratulations guys and thanks for an ace day!
