A small and intimate wedding at The William Cecil, Stamford

June 24, 2015 |

Our weekend had come early as Colin and Chris had decided to get married on a Wednesday. They had chosen this date as it was the 2-year anniversary of when they went on their first date- how cute!

We first met Colin and Chris at The William Cecil Wedding Showcase and it felt like we had known them for years! They had come all the way from Brighton to book The William Cecil at Stamford! This was a halfway point for their parents who live at almost opposite ends of the UK!

An hour or so before their ceremony, we went into their room to see them and they were very excited! Tying their shoes up and fixing handkerchiefs the boys were nearly ready. They looked ACE!

With just 5 extra guests, their day was very intimate and special. Mum’s walked their sons down the aisle and we were lucky enough to be included in a very emotional ceremony! Not a dry eye in the room!

After Colin and Chris’ civil ceremony, they made their way out into the sunshine for a glass of Prosecco.

Colin and Chris had only told their mum’s and dad’s about the wedding, so friends and other family members had NO idea…Eeeek. They planned to announce their marriage on social media that evening. We helped them to create a ‘selfie style’ photograph to put on Facebook.

We explored the grounds of The William Cecil with these guys to capture some relaxed and stunning wedding photographs of these two gents together. They were so happy and really look great together.

The conservatory was all set up for the 7 of them and it looked awesome. Complete with their cake that made it here at the way from Brighton! Wow- steady driving Chris :-)

A slightly shorter day meant that we left them all to enjoy afternoon tea and the rest of this very happy day.

Guys- we are SO pleased for your both and thank you for inviting us to be a part of your very special day. Congratulations!
