A relaxed and informal wedding at Ladywood Estate

October 01, 2014 |

This wedding was definitely filled with smiles, laughter and tears (mostly from Oana :-))

We arrived at Ladywood a little earlier than arranged…but we just couldn’t wait any longer! Oana and Adrian had planned for an evening wedding with their ceremony at The Registry Office at 5pm. Greeted with huge hugs, we were soon shown around the house and admired the hard work they had put in.

Ladywood is beautiful, however never have we seen it looking quite so beautifully dressed and full of such happy faces. Oana and Adrian stayed in the house together in the morning along with their families who had definitely travelled their distance to be here!

Oana and the girls were pampered upstairs whilst the boys were boys and played in the games room. Snooker, air hockey, juke box…you name it-it was there! They had fun and relaxed for the afternoon with a few beers. We chopped and changed from upstairs to downstairs, from the girls having their make-up done to the boys playing games. The boys even made it outside for a game of golf….no one knew the rules, or had played a lot of golf before. This made for even more fun!

The time came to head off to the registry office and so we departed. Oakham Registry office were ready and waiting for Oana and Adrian to arrive and after some tears and giggles….THEY WERE MARRIED! Yay!

And so, after confetti and party poppers in the garden it was time to head everyone back to Ladywood for drinks, nibbles and a few photographs. We stayed behind for just a few moments with the bride and groom for some wedding photos in the gardens of Oakham Registry Office.

As guests arrived, they were greeted with a glass of fizz as we took some group photographs on the lawn and after jumping, running and even the CANCAN we crossed the group shots off the bride and grooms list….

The night was drawing in and before dinner we snuck off with the bride and groom at twilight for some romantic photographs at Ladywood Estate. We LOVE photographing at twilight as even the lighting is romantic!

A 3 course meal and a dance was the next part of their day….or was it! Some surprise speeches appeared through dinner including their very young page boy who brought a tear to EVERYONES eye!

Photographing a wedding at Ladywood Estate was a real pleasure…another great venue to add to Rutland’s many. Click here to see some more of Rutland’s beautiful wedding venues.
