Eeeek- we were super excited for Rachel and Aaron’s wedding to come around and it was finally here! Rachel was very happy when she arrived back from the hairdressers and soon settled down with a glass of bubbly and was pampered by the make-up artist.
After some photographs of her dress, shoes and beautiful jewellery we left the girls to get ready. Today we were in Rachel’s home town of Whittlesey; we had never been to this church before so we made sure we had a good look around before and found some awesome spots for photographs.
It was time for us to meet Aaron and his groomsmen in……. The pub! A quick drink, for Aaron, and it was time to lead his guest, like the pied piper, to the church. The symmetrical stained glass windows with the original brick wall of the church made for some perfect photographs of the guys before the wedding. The bride and her bridesmaids arrived in a stunning classic car- with the roof down- brave girl Rachel. She looked AMAZING as she made her way into the church for their ceremony.
We had been asked by the vicar to take as little photographs as possible. This can be quite common for wedding photography in a church; however we completely respect their wishes and always check with them first. The vicar was very kind and allowed us a few more opportunities than we first thought. Thank you
It was out into the glorious sunshine for some confetti and a few group photographs at Whittlesey Church. Whilst friends and family made their way to the reception venue, we captured some photographs with the bride and groom at the church. Rachel and Aaron are such a sweet couple who look awesome together.
The roof was down, the engine was on and they we ready to be chauffeured in luxury to The William Cecil in Stamford for their wedding reception. Greeted with a glass of bubbly, the staff at The William Cecil spoilt them with canapés and drinks before heading into, what was going to be, a beautiful wedding breakfast.
After some amazingly funny speeches, we popped out with the bride and groom for some wedding photographs at The William Cecil. Rachel and Aaron had added cute little props and personalised touches to the decorations so we used some of these for their evening photographs. The William Cecil is beautiful all the time; however our favourite is at dusk. With the low sun, beautiful gardens and the Tudor fronted building, it really is a treat to photograph weddings in Stamford.
An amazing day was finished by a brilliant disco complete with confetti cannons galore! Wow, what a day- It couldn’t have been better. Congratulations guys we can’t wait to see you soon!
