Did you know that the beautiful golf course at Rutland Water now host Weddings…. We were very excited to go and couldn’t wait for Megan and Tom’s wedding. They had also chosen Oakham All Saints Church for their wedding ceremony- this church is absolutely beautiful!
Megan was at the hairdresser’s when we arrived at her parents’ home in Oakham however, her bridesmaids were busy doing their hair and make-up and very excited for the day ahead. After capturing photographs of all of the little details we left the girls and caught up with the boys in Oakham.
They had arranged to meet in the pub opposite the church, The Wheatsheaf, for a quick drink…just one! As Tom, the groom, arrived so did all of his family- a whole bus load of them! They had all travelled down together and we think they were gasping for a drink as they all hurried along into the pub. We got some relaxed photographs as the guys had a quick drink before making their way to the church. The bridesmaids arrived, followed shortly by the bride. She looked amazing in her wedding car as they pulled up outside Oakham Church.
We discreetly captured some photographs throughout their lovely wedding ceremony and it was soon out into the glorious sunshine for some confetti and a few group photographs. The bride and groom looked awesome together and we explored the ground of Oakham Church for some stunning wedding photographs whilst they shared a moment together as Mr and Mrs.
When we all arrived at Rutland Water Golf Course, guests had grabbed a drink and were enjoying some music in the courtyard. They had organised a saxophonist to play throughout the afternoon- he was fantastic! The views from the golf course are stunning and a perfect backdrop for wedding photographs. We grabbed a golf buggy for us and the bride and groom so we could go for a spin….oh and take some photographs! We were spoilt for choice for places to go for Wedding Photographs at Rutland Water Golf Course, it is awesome!
The barn was transformed with marquee linings and beautifully decorated tables for guests to enjoy the wedding breakfast and speeches.
For their evening entertainment, the bride and groom had organised a real treat for their guests…. Rockeoke! Yes, you heard us right! A live band with an extra microphone and words so you can sing along! What an awesome idea :-)! After a beautiful first dance, we stayed to hear some of the tuneful songs sung by guests- it was really good fun!
