Stoke Rochford is a gorgeous Hall nestled between Grantham and Stamford. A long and winding driveway leads you to this magnificent wedding venue with one of the most beautiful house fronts you will see. Lucy and Ali had fallen in LOVE with Stoke Rochford and had chosen this venue for their wedding ceremony and reception.
We met Lucy in the morning who was busy being pampered, after a few snaps we made our way to The Oakham Room to find Lucy’s stunning dress, shoes and other details. With Lucy getting ready upstairs and Ali meeting his groomsmen downstairs it meant we could flutter between the two capturing lots of moments throughout the morning.
Ali looked awesome all suited and booted with his friends and family, he was busy buzzing around the hotel putting those all-important finishing touches to their ceremony and reception room. Guests started to arrive as the bride and her bridesmaids excitingly waited upstairs.
The bride looked stunning as she walked down the lantern lit aisle with her, very proud, dad! After a beautiful ceremony, the bride and groom were showered in confetti and straight into having some drinks on the lawn. They had also organised a steel band to play through their wedding reception- they were fab and something a little bit different!
The bride and groom had put together a small selection of group photographs that they wanted taking throughout the afternoon, we used a few different places for these photographs and always try and make them as fun and relaxed as possible. With having just a small selection of group photographs, this leaves plenty of time for those natural and informal photographs of friends and family that everyone loves!
It was time for speeches and they were all lovely- apart from the best man who cut the head of the grooms very much loved teddy bear! Oh no- the look on their faces!!!! Luckily Ali’s mum was on hand to save any tears and sew it back on…phew!
The sun was just going down and we popped out with the bride and groom for some wedding photography at Stoke Rochford. The grounds, garden and building is beautiful and we are always spoilt for choice! We like to pick somewhere different to capture some stunning and beautiful wedding photographs of the bride and groom.
Evening guests arrived and Lucy and Ali took to the dancefloor as Mr and Mrs Cottell… shortly followed by SPARKLERS!
