We had such a treat today… Lizzie and Gavin had chosen The All Saints Church in Stamford for their wedding ceremony and The William Cecil, also in Stamford, for their reception- we just knew it was going to be an awesome day.
We arrived to meet the bride at her parents’ home and we were greeted by lots of excitement and smiles. The weather was a little wet, but this definitely did not dampen the spirits of the girls getting ready. They were being pampered whilst we photographed all of the beautiful details like the shoes, dresses and jewellery. The groom had excelled himself with a Jimmy Choo Handbag as a gift to match the bride’s shoes- well done Gavin!
We left the girls to their final preparations and found the guys at The Crowne Pub in the centre of Stamford. They all looked very smart and were enjoying a beer or two at this beautiful hotel. After a few shots inside and outside we led them back to the church to greet the guests who started to arrive nice and early.
The bride arrived in the most beautiful wedding car and she looked stunning! Their beautiful service was complete with 2 readings from the mums and a choir to sing the hymns with them.
As the weather hadn’t cleared up, we took some photographs inside the church before making our way back to The William Cecil.
We used the Burghley room to finish off their group photographs before dinner- it’s a perfect size for large groups and a great backup plan for any rainy days!
Dinner and speeches followed in the wonderfully decorated marquee and then…. The rain had stopped! Yaaaaaay!
We made it out with the bride and groom for some photographs with just the two of them. These guys look great together.
As evening guests arrived it was soon time for their first dance and we left them all dancing the night away!
Congratulations you lovely people
