Laura and Allan’s Fun-filled Wedding

September 27, 2016 |

Today was a day filled with fun and laughter from start to finish. Laura and Allan are a wonderful couple and they had chosen some amazing venues and suppliers, along with their ace guests and the hilarious bridal party which all added to their totally awesome wedding day.

Our adventure began with the bride and her bridesmaids at her home near Bourne. The girls were relaxed and chilled whilst getting ready for the day ahead. After a few photographs using the beautifully decorated rooms in their house, it was time for us to leave them to it to find the guys.

The weather was very wet today; probably one of the wettest days in a long time, however, this did not dampen the spirits of anybody. The guys were dressed in fab kilts (with a few jokes tucked up them :-)) and they were having a beer at Normanton Park, before heading to Normanton Church for the ceremony. Guests arrived, donned with umbrellas and took shelter from the rain in the church. As the bride arrived, the rain did not stop, however, Laura, the Bride, looked absolutely stunning as she arrived with her best friend in a classic wedding car.

A wonderful ceremony, with beautiful readings followed and then…. The rain had stopped! It was perfect timing and totally meant to be! We did a few group photographs, along with some photographs of the two of them before heading to Barnsdale Lodge for their reception.

We were working along with Nick Groves today, who is an amazingly talented videographer; he was capturing guest enjoying drinks as we arrived back to Barnsdale.

Before dinner, we photographed the barn at Barnsdale, which was dressed beautifully for their wedding breakfast. Before dinner, it was speech time and everyone did really well….especially the best men! With surprises hidden in three boxes and a flash of their decorated underpants- they had everyone in stitches!

Just before their evening reception began, we whisked the bride and groom off for some photographs of just the two of them around Barnsdale Lodge. There are so many beautiful spots to use a backdrop for photographs, the gardens, courtyard and wild meadow to name just a few!

The band were all set up and ready to go! After a fab first dance- friends and family began to dance the night away!

Congratulations guys and thank you for letting us be a part of your fun filled, awesome day!
