Kim and Jono’s Wedding at Grinkle Park, Yorkshire

September 02, 2015 |

We packed our bags, loaded the van and off we went on our journey up to the Yorkshire Moors! Kim and Jono’s Wedding was on the Sunday and as it was so far away we like to stay over the night before to avoid traffic jams!

Driving through the Yorkshire Moors to their venue, it was a sea of purple heather, endless views and lots of sheep! We could definitely see why Kim and Jono wanted to have their wedding here…. It was stunning! We couldn’t wait for tomorrow to arrive, so it was off to bed bright and early ready for the exciting day ahead.

Kim arrived at Grinkle Park Hotel with a huge smile and great big hug! She was very excited and soon started on the prosecco whilst unpacking the bridal suite. We always say that we hear and see the strangest things… this was no different. A bit of fifty shades of grey, some fluffy handcuffs and a bit of leg we had a morning full of giggles with Kim and the girls. We soon left them to drink a bit more prosecco and get dressed whilst we found Jono in the bar with him best man.

He was a little nervous but really excited to see Kim. We took him and his best man away into the garden for a little bit to pass the time and capture some relaxed photographs. Guest arrived, took their seats in the ceremony room and waited patiently for the bride.

She looked stunning and Jono’s eyes lit up as soon as she entered the room! Their ceremony was beautiful, full of giggles, smiles and a few tears!

Grinkle Park is a beautiful hotel and has vast grounds and gardens which are perfect for your wedding photographs. The guests made their way out into these gardens for a drink whilst we captured some of the bride and groom’s group photographs. It was a little breezy, however, nice and dry and for the kids they had arranged a bouncy castle! We wondered if the bride and groom would make it onto that later!

It was soon time for them to enter the hotel for a beautiful wedding breakfast complete with fab speeches! They all did really well-, especially Kim’s mum!

We then spent a little time with the bride and groom exploring the grounds of Grinkle Park. There was so much to choose from; we loved the lake, the waterfall, beautiful brickwork and quirky trees- we could have spent all week there! Grinkle Park is just perfect for your Wedding Photographs.

The staff turned the room around ready for their evening reception and it was time to dance the night away and for us to begin our journey home.

Oh, we didn’t want to leave- it had been such a fab day and great place to visit- thank you guys and massive congratulations!
