Helen and Sam’s Summery Wedding at Barnsdale Lodge

June 15, 2016 |

The sun was shining and we arrived at Barnsdale Lodge very excited for the day ahead.

Helen had laid out her dress, shoes, veil and jewellery in the fort henry room ready for us to photograph whilst she popped across the road with the girls for some lunch.

We left to meet the boys just as the bride and her bridesmaids arrived back- the groom arrived seconds later- phew….. That was close!!!!

The groom was looking forward to seeing his bride and after a few photographs with his best man and usher, it was that time!

The bride looked amazing as she walked down the aisle- she certainly wowed her guests! After a beautiful ceremony and fab music played by friends, it was time to head out into the courtyard for canapes and drinks. The glorious weather made it perfect for some fun group photographs with friend and family before dinner. Whilst guests took their seats, we snuck off with the bride and groom for some wedding photographs with just the two of them!

Barnsdale Lodge is beautiful, but especially during the summer when their wild meadow really comes to life! The meadow is filled with long grass and pink flowers- it was perfect for wedding photographs!

The barn suite looked amazing- full of personalised touches from the bride and groom; complete with a slideshow of photographs from their many years together for people to enjoy!

A fab BBQ and speeches followed and it was time for…….. The Ceilidh Band!

They began with the bride and groom and their first dance which led nicely onto most of the guests on the dancefloor! These bands are great and perfect to get everyone, young and older, on the dancefloor! Andy braved it in the middle of the circle dance for some great action photographs! It really was a perfect end to a fantastic day!

Congratulations Helen and Sam!
