It was a bright and sunny day on the shores of Rutland Water and our day began at Barnsdale Hall Hotel.
The bride and her daughter, Danielle, were busy being pampered when we arrived. A buffet of popcorn and blueberries were on the menu for these giggly two as we photographed their dresses, shoes and details for the day. Heather had decided not to have any flowers and instead her wonderful bouquet was made completely out of buttons- it looked amazing and her bridesmaid even had matching buttons in her hair!
We left the girls to their final preparations and made our way to Normanton Church to wait for them to arrive early and hide in the back. They arrived on time and in an awesome mode of transport…. A Black Cab from London! Luckily their friend is a cab driver and brought his very smart taxi with him which they used for their wedding car. – It’s not what you know, it’s who you know!
They made their way inside the church to hide at the back whilst we went to meet the boys. They were arriving, along with the guests at L’oliveto’s Italian Restaurant on the shores of Normanton. This would be their reception venue for later on in the day. The groom looked really smart and was ready to walk to the church with his best man- off we went!
Guest arrived and it was time for their ceremony to begin! The bride looked amazing as she walked down the aisle- there was not a dry eye in the church for the whole ceremony- especially with their personalised vows!
Greeted by bubbles and lots of congratulations, the newlyweds enjoyed an ice cream with friends and family in the glorious sunshine! We took some group photographs with close family and some photographs with just the bride and groom before making our way to the reception.
They wanted a relaxed and informal day and that is exactly what happened. The restaurant served a buffet style meal whilst guests were entertained with a caricaturist and live singer- they were both great!
We witnessed a beautiful sunset with the bride and groom whilst we were out taking photographs by the shore.
Guests grabbed sparklers and made their way outside to send the bride and groom off in style!
What a lovely end to a really great day- Congratulations guys!
