The George Hotel played the perfect host for Grace and Ian’s festive wedding recently.
All dressed up for Christmas, The George looked absolutely stunning both inside and out. With a courtyard of Christmas trees draped in lights and a hallway complete with post-box only for post to the North Pole – We are sure you can imagine why!
We met Grace at their recently renovated home near to the Church in Harringworth. We could have stayed there all day…… their house was amazing! Very Jealous! After Graces preparations, we headed to the Church to meet her Groom, Ian, who was calm and collected.
Along with his large groomsmen party, Ian prepared the Mulled Wine (awesome!) and lit the candles for the church. As guests arrived and took their seats, we made our way back to meet the bride as she was preparing for the short walk to the Church and her many guests. As she walked with her proud father, the car driver (booked for later) carried her dress! Peterborough cars are always willing to go the extra mile!
After a beautiful ceremony, our Bride and Groom left the church to a confetti tunnel – amazing for wedding photographs.
It was soon off to the George Hotel in Stamford where the celebrations continued. With a marquee fit for a King and Queen sat pretty on the lawns at the George, Guests (and us!) were blown away. It is the first clear sided and roofed marquee we have ever seen and it was perfect. Lots of natural light (until it went dark at least!) perfect for wedding photography.
As the night drew in and the speeches were complete, Grace headed upstairs to change into a beautiful evening gown. As she did, we set up ready for a few photographs in the courtyard at the George Hotel, ready for sparklers that our bride and groom had brought with them. The wedding photographs were amazing (even if we do say so ourselves)
After the cake cutting, the Band took over the dance floor whilst the photo booth kept others occupied as the evening celebrations got exciting!
A fantastic wedding we were pleased to be asked to photograph and be a small part of!
