You have had your fingers crossed for months….. Praying that it won’t rain on your wedding day, but the day comes and Mother Nature has other ideas. What do you do? Don’t let it ruin your day is what we say, and Sarah and Matt thought the same! Normanton Church is beautiful inside and out, perfect even for wedding photography in the rain!
The start of their wonderful adventure…
We first met this awesome couple a year ago or so now. They popped into our studio for a coffee and a flick through some of our albums. We got on with them so well and we couldn’t wait for their wedding day to arrive!
A long time passed, but eventually we caught up with them again for an engagement photograph shoot a few days before their wedding day. If you want to see what we got up to, follow this to see their sunny pre wedding photograph session.
The day came, an early start for an early wedding at Normanton Church. After spending time with both the Girls and Boys, we headed onto Normanton with excitement in our bellies.
The rain didn’t let up, but we didn’t let that upset any plans for the day. Even the umbrella blowing inside out is a memory of their wedding day! After a beautiful ceremony and a lovely, heartfelt reading from Mum, we stayed inside for a few group photographs and some beautiful, romantic wedding photographs of the Bride and Groom together – complete with a little ‘wind’ in the veil, Beautiful….
Wedding photographs at Greetham Valley Golf Club
A short ride followed by Campervan (the best example we have seen for ages by the way!) back to Greetham Valley Golf Course, where the couple were met by staff armed with Umbrellas to aid them in the rain. Greetham Valley played the perfect host for our inside photographs, both natural and spontaneous, along with a few group photographs at the Bride and Grooms request.
After Speeches, the rain had stopped and so we headed out on a golf buggy with Sarah and Matt to explore the golf course. We soon found just what we were looking for….. LOTS of perfect places for wedding photographs! A short tour (led by us with our exploration caps on!) followed, before it was time for the first dance and to party the evening away!
Enjoy this small selection from Sarah and Matt’s superb wedding photographs at Normanton Church!
