This lovely couple had chosen the historical Oakham Castle for their wedding ceremony followed by a reception at the beautiful Rutland Water Golf Club- we couldn’t wait!
The bride was getting ready in the brand new honeymoon suite at Rutland Water Golf Club along with her chief bridesmaid Sarah. They were having their hair and makeup done while we photographed their shoes and dresses. It was very relaxing in the room- which in their words- would all change when the kids arrived! Dawn’s daughter and niece were the bridesmaids for the day, and they were, as you can imagine, very excited!
Today we were working alongside the videographer, Chris Parker. We have worked with Chris before and it’s always a giggle so it was awesome to see his smiley face in the morning!
We left the girls to their final preparations and made our way in Oakham to meet the groom and his best man. They were having a drink at Mill Street Bar and Kitchen- well the groom was, but Cian his best man was Liam’s son who was just 9 years old, so it was just a coca cola for him! They both looked awesome all suited and booted, and Cian was looking forward to being the best man- including his awesome speech to come later on that day.
All of the guests arrived in style today, on a red London bus which pulled up outside of the market place in Oakham- how cool! We walked up to the castle with all of the guests who were excited for the ceremony ahead. Oakham Castle is a fantastic building filled with named horseshoes, an old court room and set in the heart of pretty little Oakham.
Dawn, the bride, arrived at Oakham Castle and after a quick photograph with her bridesmaids, she made her way in. She looked gorgeous as she smiled her way down the aisle towards her groom. After a wonderful service led by the Rutland Registrars, there were lots of hugs and kisses for the newlyweds. The heavens had opened, so we made the most of the fantastic interior of Oakham Castle for some group photographs and photographs of the bride and groom.
Everyone, including the bride and groom, arrived at Rutland Water golf club by London bus and made their way inside for drinks before sitting down for a fab BBQ meal.
The speeches were great- and after a few photographs with the bride and groom at Rutland Water Golf Club before their first dance played by a fab band.
Congratulations guys- thanks for an awesome day.
