Claire and Jim’s Wedding at Normanton Church

May 08, 2016 |

Our fantastic day began at Barnsdale Lodge with the Bride, Claire.

She was in her room with her bridesmaid, mum, and flower girl very excitingly getting ready for the day ahead; we photographed the excitement before heading off to find the boys.

We arrived at the pub shortly followed by the groom… he arrived in an awesome Aston Martin with his son, the best man. Complete with a tune or two on his very own bagpipes, guests joined him for a drink, or two, before heading to the church.

At Normanton Church, guests arrived and lined the pathway to create an aisle for the bride when she arrived- complete with a piper. She walked down the aisle with a fantastic applause from everyone, including the groom. Claire looked amazing and a fantastic ceremony with personalised readings was enjoyed by all.

Whilst the bride and groom signed the register friends and family sang ‘All you need is love’- what an awesome idea and we LOVED that everyone really got involved.

It was little breezy down by the water, so guests made their way back to the coach’s whilst we stayed with the bride and groom for some wedding photographs with just the two of them.

The bride and groom had chosen Barnsdale Lodge for their reception venue and the barn looked beautiful in their war theme, poppy infused wedding decorations. Drinks and canapes were flowing whilst everyone congratulated this lovely couple!

We used the beautiful courtyard at Barnsdale for some informal group photographs before dinner.

Amazing speeches followed after their wedding breakfast and it was soon time for them all to dance the night away with a fabulous band- The Smooth Criminals.

Congratulations guys and thank you for such a wonderful day!
