It was hot, sunny and dry today- perfect for a summer wedding at Fort Henry.
Anna and Steve had planned for their ceremony at Fort Henry followed by a reception at Barnsdale Lodge- we knew it was going to be a great day!
The bride was having her hair and make-up done in Stamford whilst we were at her parents’ home in Belmesthorpe. We were welcomed with big smiles and lots of help whilst we photographed the dresses, shoes and other details for the day. The bride arrived back just in time for some photographs with her bridesmaids before we left them to it to find the boys.
They had arranged to meet around the corner from Fort Henry, at the Fox and Hounds in Exton- A beautiful little village pub bursting with personality and character. After a few Gin’s (for them, not us) it was time to make our way onto Exton Estate to find the beautiful Fort Henry nestled between countryside and….. More countryside!
Guests arrived as did the bridesmaids in the bride’s parents’ VW campervan- it looked awesome. As did the bride as she followed in her very own Beetle- she looked beautiful!
After a wonderful ceremony, they were congratulated by all of their guests and the children greeted and congratulated them with bubble guns- awesome! After some champagne, canapes and group photographs it was time for guests to make their way to Barnsdale, we stayed with the bride and groom for some wedding photographs with just the two of them at Fort Henry.
Tin cans were attached to the back of the car and they were off- on their way to celebrate the rest of the day. We followed and took some photographs of the barn suite at Barnsdale Lodge. The rest of the afternoon consisted of Speeches, BBQ, laughter and a little rain before the band set up and the afternoon soon became the evening!
This lovely couple took to the dancefloor for the first time as Mr and Mrs Walker, shortly followed by…… Everyone else!
What a super end to an awesome day- congratulations guys!
