We have had the pleasure of getting to know Vicky and Alistair really well and we just knew that it would be an ace day for their wedding… and it was!
The bride was at her parents’ home in Ashwell getting ready for the day ahead. We took some photographs of her dress, shoes and details along with some photos of them being pampered by the hair and make-up ladies.
Our next stop was Oakham Town Centre to meet the boys. The bride and groom had chosen, in our opinion, one of the most beautiful churches in Rutland for their wedding ceremony, Oakham All Saints. Situated in the centre of Oakham, this church is magnificent- a perfect place for weddings. Across the road, the boys were all having a drink with guests before heading to the church. The groom was cool and calm, looking forward to the day ahead.
As guests took their seats, the bridesmaids arrived, shortly followed by the bride, she looked amazing with her proud dad as she walked down the aisle. Their wonderful ceremony included 2 readings and 3 hymns before heading out into the church ground as Mr and Mrs Rhodes.
As guest made their way to the reception, we spent some time with the bride and groom for some wedding photographs of just the two of them at Oakham Church, they looked amazing together- so happy!
The staff at Barnsdale were on hand with drinks to welcome the guests and happy couple. The view from the patio at Barnsdale Hall is amazing and just perfect for some group photographs.
The Edith Weston Suite was hidden from guests prying eyes as the bride and groom wanted it to be a surprise for dinner, and we can see why. It looked gorgeous!
Dinner and speeches followed and the speeches definitely had EVERYONE giggling- you all did such a good job!
We took a short walk to see the view and the sun breaking through the clouds over Rutland Water before heading back inside for their evening reception. The FAB band, The Supernova’s, were all set up and ready to entertain one and all. They did just that and we left everyone dancing and singing along.
Thank you guys- you are awesome and congratulations!
