Barnsdale Hall Hotel is a beautiful leisure hotel and country club set in Rutland and overlooking Rutland Water.
We had arranged to meet the bride, Abbey in the spa where she was having her hair and make-up done for the day. She was really excited and after a few photographs we made our way to her room to photograph her dress, shoes and other details. After leaving the girls to their final preparations, we met the groom, Carl, who was located in the bar!
The groomsmen donned on their button holes and made their way outside with us for some photographs before guests started to arrive. They had planned for their civil ceremony to be held at Barnsdale Hall Hotel followed by the reception.
As guests took their seats we braved the cold and waited for the bride to arrive with her dad and bridesmaids. She looked amazing and couldn’t wait to walk down the aisle! Their ceremony was led by the fantastic Rutland Registrars and before we knew it they were husband and wife!
The weather report was showing a very mixed day so judging the weather was going to be tricky. It was not raining after their ceremony, so we made the most of this by popping out with the bride and groom for some wedding photograph on the patio showing the amazing view! Just in the nick of time too as it started to rain as we walked back….phew!
With the weather in mind, we did all of their group photographs inside, however Barnsdale Hall hotel is superb for rainy wedding days as they have so many rooms and so much space to accommodate your photographs inside- perfect!
Guests took their seats and were wow’d by the room…. It looked stunning! Lit with candles and fairy lights Abbey and Carl had done such a great job and added lots of personal touches too. After their meal and 3 FAB speeches, it was soon time for their evening reception.
However whilst the room was prepared we went down to the main house with the bride and groom for a few photographs. The evening is perfect for some relaxed and romantic wedding photographs, with low light and the stunning staircase at Barnsdale Hall Hotel we captured so many!
