We had two super venues for today; we could totally see why Vee and Mike had chosen Normanton Church and The Falcon in Uppingham for their wedding.
We arrived at The Falcon to see the bride and her friends excitingly getting ready in one of the Falcons beautiful hotel rooms. Hair and makeup were in full swing as we photographed the bride’s beautiful dress and accessories. The bride wanted to arrive at Normanton Church early to hide in the back of the church, so we left the girls to their final preparations and went to find the groom and his groomsmen. The groom looked very smart along with his son who was the best man, brothers, and dad who were the groomsmen.
The boys duties for the morning was to make sure that friends and family made it to Normanton Church on time, but after the bride, so we left them to their duties and made sure we were ready and waiting at Normanton Church for the girls.
It was a little wet and windy at the church, however, guests arrived donned with umbrellas ready for the wedding. Vee looked awesome as she walked down the aisle and after 2 beautiful readings they were husband and wife!
The bride and groom wanted to brave the weather for some group photographs at Normanton Church, so we all made our way outside. As friends and family made their way back to Uppingham, we stayed with the bride and groom and captured some wedding photographs at Normanton Church with just the two of them.
They both got comfy in the brides pride and joy car to drive themselves back to The Falcon- not before a quick photograph, of course!
The Falcon looked beautifully dressed with flowers and candles and we made sure we got some photographs of the beautiful wedding breakfast room. Winter Pimm’s and canapes were being enjoyed by all and after this followed speeches and a slap up meal!
The inside at The Falcon is beautiful- full of traditional features and chandeliers, this was perfect for a few more photographs with the bride and groom.
We couldn’t believe it was first dance time already- the DJ was set up and ready to go and after a very well-rehearsed first dance (well-done guys!) we left them all dancing the night away!
