A Warm Autumn Wedding at Normanton Church and The William Cecil

November 13, 2015 |

Wahoooooo! We could not believe that Lisa and Graham’s wedding day had arrived at last! We have known Lisa for a while now, however when we met her fiancé, Graham, it was like we had known him for years too!

Lisa was getting ready on the morning of their wedding day at her parents’ home in Oakham; it was quiet and peaceful as the bride was being pampered! We stayed and photographed her beautiful dress, shoes, jewellery and….. Yes Lisa, we saw your Take That shrine- although Laura nearly ‘lost’ it away with her!

We left the girls to their final preparations whilst we made our way to Normanton Church to meet Graham. The sun was shining, it was warm and dry- what more could we have wished for! Graham arrived with his ushers and groomsmen looking super cool and very calm!

Normanton Church, on the edge of Rutland Water, really does have the WOW factor! Friends and family arrived intrigued and very impressed with this iconic wedding venue- now to wait for the bride!

She arrived…Yay…. and she looked absolutely stunning! After their wonderful ceremony with a reading from both mums, it was out into the sunshine with lots of congratulations for the bride and groom along with a few group photographs. We only photograph the few group photographs that have been requested, the rest of the time we snap away and capture those relaxed and natural photographs that we all love!

After friends and family made their way to the reception venue, we stayed with the bride and groom to capture some wedding photographs at Normanton Church with just the two of them. They look awesome together and before long it was time for them to pop open the fizz and jump in the car to The William Cecil in Stamford.

The fantastic Rob from The William Cecil was ready and waiting with even more fizz for the newlyweds and guests were ready and waiting to greet them. Just as it started to go dark, it was time for everyone to enter the marquee to some amazing food and speeches!

The William Cecil is just perfect for wedding photographs, with the Tudor front on the main street of St Martins Stamford, to the grand staircase inside the centre of the hotel- it really does provide the most beautiful backdrops! We made use of these after their wedding breakfast for some evening wedding photographs.

It was soon time for them to dance the night away with an awesome DJ- we left them to the dancing (after being forced to eat cake…what a shame!), Congratulations guys!
