Wow- do we have a treat for you!
The most beautiful day that we have seen at Normanton Church for a long time! Perfect blue skies, water as still as glass, bright orange sunshine and a wonderful wedding to photograph!
Charlotte and Scott had not only picked a perfect day for their wedding this summer but two awesome locations, Normanton Church and Normanton Park Hotel.
We started our day meeting the lovely bride in the honeymoon suite at Normanton Park Hotel. She was excitingly getting ready with her bridesmaids on hand and two children. We think her daughter, Scarlett, was more excited than her mum! The bride had planned to arrive early at Normanton Church, so we left them to their final preparations after a short while.
If you haven’t been to Normanton Church before, you are missing a treat! It is a super church set out on the water and surrounding by the ultimate picturesque views! There is only one door into the church, so if you wish to have your aisle facing towards the dome, the bride has to arrive early, hide in the back room and wait for guests to take their seats.
We saw the groomsmen briefly in the morning, they were all in one room- battling for the shower! Meanwhile, the bride took a short walk in the sunshine to the church before guests, and the groomsmen arrived.
The groom and his best men all arrived looking super smart and ready for the ceremony!
The bridesmaids, flowers girls smiled their way down the aisle, as did the bride who looked gorgeous. They had a beautiful service, and there were lots of congratulations outside the church from friends and family.
We spent the afternoon taking some group photographs and photographs of the two of them in and around Normanton Church before they made their way to the hotel for dinner.
After 5 awesome speeches, we took a short walk to the shoreline of Rutland Water with the Bride and groom for some photographs as the sun was getting lower in the sky.
The evening reception began with their first dance, and they continued to dance the night away as we left.
Congratulations guys and thanks for a super day!
