A Spring Wedding at Oakham All Saints Church

May 03, 2016 |

It is always so lovely when we visit Oakham Church and today was no exception for Louise and Hamish’s wedding.

The sun was shining and Louise, the bride, was busy being pampered in Glow hair Salon at Barnsdale Lodge. After a few photos, we went to the bridal suite to photograph her dress, shoes, and detailed pieces. After a quick sneaky peek into the barn at Barnsdale Lodge, which looked amazing, we made our way to Oakham to meet the boys.

Hamish was very calm and having a pint with his groomsmen before welcoming friends and family into Oakham Church. A coach full of guests arrived along with the bridesmaids and we were all waiting anxiously for the bride to arrive. She did, and in style too, she looked amazing and couldn’t wait to see her groom.

As always, the church service was beautifully led by Oakham Vicar, Lee, and we all made our way out for confetti and a few group photographs afterwards. Having a coach is a great idea and means that all of your guests and can arrive and leave venues together with no worries about parking. They all left us to it whilst we took some photographs of the bride and groom in the beautiful grounds of the church.

Barnsdale’ s fantastic staff were on hand, along with an ace popcorn guy, to welcome the bride and groom to their wedding reception. It was a little chilly on this spring day; however everyone braved it for some group photographs on the lawn before dinner.

Louise and Hamish’s guest had travelled far and wide to be here today, from New Zealand, South Africa, and Hong Kong to name just a few places! They were really touched and thanked them all in their fab speeches, that they could all be with them today.

Before the fabulous evening reception began, we nipped out into the wild meadows at the back of Barnsdale Lodge for some wedding photographs just as the sun was beginning to go down.

What a beautiful end to a lovely day- congratulations guys!
