We are so excited to tell you about our day full of smiles, giggles and fun at Danielle and Sean’s gorgeous woodland wedding.
A new venue for us, this was The Woodlands at Hothorpe Hall and it was beautiful! As they say “exactly what it says on the tin” this is just that. This new venue is set in the heart of the woods and circled with little woodland cabins for friends and family to stay in.
We met the bride in the morning at her home where she was excitingly getting ready with her mum and bridesmaids. We photographed her dress, bridesmaid’s dresses, shoes and jewellery along with some shots of them all having their hair and make-up done. The bride had arranged a thoughtful and wonderful gift for her husband to be, a charm with his grandparent’s fingerprints on, one for her and one for him as his grandparents, unfortunately, couldn’t be there to share this special day with them.
We left the girls and made our way to Hothorpe hall to meet the boys. The groom had spent the morning setting up the venue and, WOW, he had worked so hard. It looked incredible and we all knew that his wife-to-be was going to LOVE it! We especially liked the sign that said how awesome their photographers were…Ha Ha! 😉
Once the boys were ready, we watched as the groom opened his gift from the bride and he was absolutely over the moon!
Guests started to arrive and take their seats as we eagerly waited for the girls.
The bride looked stunning as she smiled down the aisle past all of her friends and family. After a beautiful ceremony, we made our way out to photograph the congratulations from all and a few group photographs. The guys thought it would be an awesome idea to literally throw the groom in the air and try to catch him…. And they did-phew!
These guys looked awesome together and we had such a giggle taking them for some photographs in the surrounding areas of the woodlands before dinner.
Great speeches followed dinner and we couldn’t resist popping out again with the bride and groom to explore the woodlands a little further, including the honeymoon suite…… A tree house! How awesome is that!
The amazing band, Bird and the Bad Man, kicked off with some songs and the first dance which everyone loved dancing to. The weather had turned for the evening and there was a lot of rain… Andy said, “ let’s go out in the rain and get some photographs in front of the handmade letters”. Thinking he was crazy I went outside and the letters spelling D & S had lit up, as had the building. It looked amazing with all of the rain! We donned our off camera flash, cameras and a brolly along with the bride and groom- it was SOOOOO worth it!
What an amazing day for a totally awesome couple- congratulations guys!
