We first met Kylie and George at a wedding fayre over a year ago… it was crazy how quickly time had flown by and their day had arrived!
Our first destination for this beautiful day was in the village of Baston at Kylie’s parents’ house. Whilst she was being pampered, we explored their house and were wowed by all of the lovely signs, décor and family photographs- what a wonderful home they have! We captured some photographs of their dresses, shoes and jewellery before leaving them to their final preparations.
Our next stop was Baston Church, a beautiful Baptist church with a great community spirit. A short walk away was The White Lion village pub where the boys were already in the beer garden! The groom was there with a (half) pint in hand and looked cool and calm! His groomsmen were also with him keeping him calm- well winding him up really!
As the boys made their way to the church the guests followed to take their seats. It was unfortunate that the heavens opened as the Bride arrived in their classic wedding car- but this didn’t steal the show as the Bride looked AMAZING!
We were asked not to take photographs throughout the service itself, so we sat back, itching to take photographs, and let the ceremony unfold. They also had a fab live choir and band to entertain the guests whilst they signed the official register.
A few spots of rain were in the air, however, guests grabbed confetti and couldn’t wait to congratulate the newlyweds. After a few group photographs and some shots of the just the two of them, it was time for us all to head to Toft Hotel.
The weather performed beautifully and we managed to continue with a few group photographs before their wedding breakfast. The reception room looked amazing- each table was filled with buckets of wine, beer and other treats for guest to enjoy throughout the meal. The ‘guess who’ style table plan was just a brilliant idea- guests LOVED it!
After speeches and dinner, there were more treats in store……. A Cigar bar and Bucking Broncho! The groom had a go on this- but after only a 6-second record he decided to give up and let guests have a go! We took some photographs of the newlyweds around the gardens of Toft- and just in time too- the thunderstorms began and we made our way inside….quickly!
The disco started with their first dance and we left everyone dancing the night away for, what we knew, would be an amazing evening repletion with LOTS of alcohol!
Congratulations guys- we had a super day with you all!
